Ñ Second Mothers Day Card. This one goes to one of the most incredible mothers I have met. It goes to my mom-in-law. She is kind and wonderful. For this reason I chose these heartfelt words.

This card includes almost all techniques…its easy to get inspired when you have an inspiring subject! So onto the card…I heat embossed some vellum and added some diamond shaped buttons. then I used a border stamp and covered the middle sentiment to ensure no accidental bleed through. Also, the border was instrumental to hiding the snail glue used to secure the vellum onto the pattern paper.

With my last card I chose the pattern paper first and let it dictate the rest of the colors, in this case I stamped the vellum paper first, chose my deep plum base and chose the pattern paper last.

The cardstock base was cut using the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) basic shapes and welding them together to make the card. Lastly, I dry embossed the sides. Sides only though, the middle part I left flat to help better secure the pattern paper.

For the inside (not shown) I cut the shape in a smaller version (about .25” smaller) in soft butter yellow and dry embossed the bottom edge only.

Hope this inspires you to have a crafty weekend!

Ñ This card was made with all the love in the world for my wonderful mother. We are still a few weeks away from it and found myself without a stamp for it. This is unfortunately my case a lot which is why I resort to digi stamps or a card with enough impact in embellishments to where it does not need a sentiment.

For this card, I started with the pattern paper and and picked the coordinating colors from there. Since the pattern paper has a deep and impactfull color (the dark teal roses) I found it better to go for the “chicken” first (egg or chicken? :)

A gorgeous angel blue and soft butter yellow cardstock quilled into a daisy with a pearl center and a delicate lacy cricut cut with the same angel blue complementing the subtle blue butterflies. and placed on a textured gray cardstock, dry embossed base.

Hope this inspires you!

This card is for a good friend who just recently got engaged - if you define recently as, it’s been a while and I didn’t have her address :(. Nevertheless, it incorporates delicate embossing on vellum, a beautiful ivory satin, organza combination ribbon and an accent pearl. The sentiment was heat embossed in gold letters.

Here is hoping she goes with an ivory wedding…last engagement congratulations card I made in white went to a person who was not into white weddings…yikes!

Enjoy!

Ñ Hello everyone!

The card in the picture was made for a VERY special someone. My sister, who for many years has inspired me to reach for the stars. She is one of the smartest, hardest working and great mothers I have ever met. Not to mention, the best sister in the world.

Now onto the fun part :)….I used Create a Critter for the cupcake shape and a punch for the topper. Cuttlebug’s baby wreath embossing folder for the “frosting” and a crimper for the wrapper.

Enjoy and Happy Birthday Sis!

Hello friends! I am so excited to showcase this idea. Using the past baby shower ensemble idea I thought to come up with a few theme ensembles. This one is perfect for a wedding shower or wedding. The ribbon can be changed by color depending on the wedding colors. And of course a thinner or different material ribbon can be used also.

The groom box measures 5.5” tall and 2.75” wide. As it gathers at the top and follows a brown paper bag mold (see picture), it is perfect for holding candies or maybe even a small cigar.

The wedding dress bag is slightly larger. The bottom bag part is 4.5” wide, 4” tall and 1.5” deep. perfect for a small picture frame, candies, and other smaller sized party favors. The actual full dress measures 6.25” tall

The wedding cake invitation fits in a standard A2 sized envelope but can be made larger for larger envelopes.

All white pieces were made using a smooth 110 lb ultra white cardstock, embossed with one of cuttlebug’s lacy embossing folders. The tuxedo used heavy black cardstock with metal accents.

Using cricut’s: TBBM2 and Cricut basic shapes for the cake.

Feel free to leave questions or comments.
See you soon with more!

Ñ This was a combination of several techniques: Dry embossing tinted with dye ink first to achieve outside wall texture and color, acetate film, a composition of welding and not-welding several basic shapes in the Cricut Craft Room, flower punches and regular use of baby steps cartridge for inside crib along with some sponging and dry embossing. Also used dies for the sentiment cuts and heat embossing for the actual sentiment.
